8 Tips for Giving Presents for the Teachers' Day

  1. Never give a gift that is too expensive. Otherwise it will show that you are too utilitarian. And your teacher are likely to refuse such gift. It is also a burden to you.

  2. Never ask the teacher what gift he/she wants. Your teacher are likely to refuse it. Your sincerity will also be doubted.

  3. Never ask about what other parents will give as a gift. Never compare with others. Gifts only show your heart to teacher. It does not represent that teachers who accept your gift will take special care of your child.

  4. Never buy gifts that are unpractical, such as formal dress or high class jewelry. Consider whether the teacher can use your gift in everyday life.

  5. Remember to remove the price ticket and bag of the store. No matter how cheap the gift is, you’d better pack it with packaging paper. Sometimes small details can better show your sincerity.

  6. The price of gift is not the major determinant. Sometimes a gift made by yourself can better move the teacher.

  7. If the gift is an innovative one, you shall specify the purpose and usage of it to your teacher so that he/she can understand its use better.

  8. You can tell the teacher that “I chose it specially for you.” or “Hope you can like it.” to show your respect to him/her when you are giving gifts. Never say “I bought it just now since I had no preparation.” or “It’s nothing good. Make do with it.”, which will make your gift and your sincerity degraded.
